For example are you limiting the number of rows with "....?openview&count=20
- standard ?openview with no parameters which based on settings opens the entire conents without pagination

Does adding the count manually make a difference?
- if I use the count parm to reduce the number of records the view will load, it is a capacity issue

Are there other views that have this same problem in the database?
- there are no views of similar size, so no

Are there other views in the database that have the same selection criteria that do not experience this problem?
- no

What happens when you open the view in the Notes client?
- the view is specific to the web due to the embedded html etc but it has an analagous version which contains the same content minus the HTML and it opens fine in notes

It is hard to offer design suggestions without more detail on the design of the problem view.

Perhaps you can create a simple view without all the HTML/Javascript and see what Domino thinks of that...
- I removed the view template and created a standard view with no HTML etc and I have recreated the error with a simple text view. If I reduce the number of columns or the number of records, the error disappears. This appears to be an issue of memory management/capacity in the server, not a problem with the view contents
